The extraction of finance information is a complex business area. PPA, headquartered in Darmstadt and Zürich, handles more than 150,000 annual reports per year. Among their clients and partners are Commerzbank, KfW, and Euler Hermes. PPA is evidently an expert in their field. Yet, the main question in B2B communication once again had to be asked: How do we explain the professional extraction of finance information in a straightforward and entertaining manner while addressing both novices and experts at the same time?
We started of with strategy. The basic questions regarding the target audience, information needs, and goal setting were necessary – PPA faced its first website relaunch in ten years. A content workshop achieved clarification: existing content needed to be brought in line with new content formats while focusing on comprehensibility and familiarity. In concrete terms this meant: new texts, an extensive photo shooting, and corporate videos.
Based on the workshops Profilwerkstatt, together with its partner agency quäntchen + glück, designed an entirely new web presence for PPA. Once again, different departments of the House of Content Experts worked together: atmospheric statement videos by longterm employees gave the website instant familiarity, the complex topic of the extraction of finance information was explained by our corporate video unit using an animated film. Out of all this a modern, breezily designed web presence with a personal touch emerged, giving both experts and novices a clear idea what PPA’s core business is all about.
